'Appy' Staff Means 'Appy' Customers at Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel
We have recently teamed up with the Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel in Chester to introduce a new digital concierge service in order to enhance the guest experience and get more local downloads. This means staff at the hotel are actively encouraging guests to download the Out There App to find the best local things to do.
This is a huge benefit to the hotel for three reasons:
1. Guests get access to the hotel’s great restaurant offers first which encourages them to eat there.
2. It gives hotel guests a better all-round experience.
3. The scheme rewards staff on the number of downloads they get.
On Tuesday 16 January our Head of Sales and Marketing, Alex Atkinson, got hands on with the Food and Beverage team to introduce the digital concierge scheme and to deliver some sales training. The sales training was really beneficial and will help them to upsell key hotel products in the future as part of their ongoing jobs.
The staff are now looking to work together to get 800 downloads at the hotel by the end of February. If this goal is achieved, they’ll receive a team gift worth over £800.
