The Finlake Fairways prestige Buckland Lodge is owned by the Devon and Cornwall Police Federation, primarily to offer free respite breaks to Devon and Cornwall Police officers in need of a break with their families. Otherwise, the lodge is open to the public to cover various costs of the increasingly necessary respite breaks.
Tucked away amongst the scenic coastlines of South Devon, the Lodge is located within Finlake Holiday Park. Running parallel to the breathtaking views Dartmoor has to offer, the lodge is just a 15 minute drive from the quaint historic town of Newton Abbot, 15 minutes from Exeter and 40 minutes to the ocean city of Plymouth.
Whether you want to explore the Jurassic Coast, investigate the mysterious moors, or absorb the affluent, vibrant and diverse shopping experience that medieval Exeter has to offer, Finlake Fairways has it all.
Finlake Fairways' fabulous new on-site leisure complex includes a heated indoor pool, superb fitness centre, well-equipped gym, sauna, steam room and the Finesse beauty centre. Recently refurbished, the Retreat Bar and Restaurant offers lunch and à la carte evening meals, and the nearby Cabin Café and Farm Shop offers a fantastic takeaway menu. Children will love the outdoor pool with its waterslide and great adventure playground. Nature trails, outdoor tennis courts, two coarse fishing lakes and horse riding provide sporting opportunities for everyone.
The Prestige Buckland Lodge has a spacious hallway, which leads on to the open-plan living layout with a vaulted roof, making for high ceilings and extra windows throughout. The French doors have full height cathedral windows above. The large lounge area is furnished with three grey sofas and a wall-mounted fireplace, with thick grey carpets, soft grey and yellow curtains and classic lighting giving the room a look of understated elegance. The dining space is fantastic for entertaining, with a contemporary dining table and six high-backed chairs.
You'll be just as impressed with the kitchen style-wise, with its glossy units, high-specification appliances and handy breakfast bar.
The Lodge sleeps six, with one double bedroom and two twin rooms. The master bedroom offers a large walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom, whilst the twin rooms are served by a family bathroom.
This property is owned by Devon & Cornwall Police Federation to provide respite to Police Officers and their families. In order to cover yearly costs, they rent this property out during school holidays and other select dates.
